This blog will look at the various views of local, college, and national news and sports. The main focus will be on my thoughts and opinions on the current state of UConn and UConn Athletics.
A little about me - I got my start writing about UConn sports for The Daily Campus more than a decade ago. I worked with some great people who made careers in the journalism career - some work for major tv stations, radio stations, online publications and newspapers - me, well I decided to work in education. I was fortunate enough to cover the dawn of Husky dominance. The highlights of my newspaper career include reporting on the 2000 National Champion UConn men's soccer team and 2002 National Champion UConn women's basketball team. I was the first DC Sports Reporter to cover multiple national championship teams. I was was the Online Editor for a semester. I did spend a brief time working for WHUS 91.7 FM giving commentary on soccer and basketball games.
Today as an educator and coach, I am looking at the current state of the University as a proud alumni and fan. This blog reflects my opinions on the current state of UConn. I am season ticket holder for both football and men's basketball. But I want to look at the big picture. I also want to look at pop culture, local and national news, and explore rumors on future college realignment.
